Sam is a 29-year-old, married man, living in Fort Portal, Uganda. He is involved in quarrying stones, along with farming, in order to earn income to support his family. A poor road network and lack of capital to hire manpower pose challenges to his business growth while his dreams are educating his children and expanding his business.
Sam intends to use the loan to pay workers who are helping him quarry stones to sell.

This loan is part of HOFOKAM's program targeting poor and geographically excluded populations in Western Uganda. In addition to loans, it provides social and business training programs to low-income entrepreneurs and their communities.
