A loan of $325 helped to buy an engine for repairing millet mills and for manufacturing them for sale.

Mamadou Cellou's story

Mamadou Cellou, who is 41 years old, lives in a village which lies several kilometers away from the capital. He is active in making millet mills and has gained ten years' experience in this field. He has never had a loan from IMCEC and has for the first time requested a loan of 150,000FCFA to buy an engine for repairing millet mills as he manufactures them.

Mamadou Cellou gets a lot of orders for mills since he is practically the only person to make them in this area. He manages to feed his family with the income he makes from his business, and is thinking of working with IMCEC so that he can open a large manufacturing unit for his machines and become a significant supplier.
