A loan of $700 helped to pay for spare parts and maintenance for her tricycle (motorcycle).

Mercedes's story

Mercedes is very thankful for the financial assistance extended to her in a previous loan, as she was able to buy the spare parts and accessories for her tricycle. Her loan is also helpful in the education of her children. Her income from business assisted in herr everyday expenses at home. Aside from having a tricycle unit, she also has a van for rent for additional income.

She is applying for another loan of 30,000 Philippines pesos (PHP) to buy spare parts and for the maintenance of her tricycle unit. The profits from her business will definitely help her to sustain her family's daily needs and her children's education. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Mercedes dreams of being more successful in her business and hopes to give her children a good life and education. She meets up with her co-fellowship members every week to share stories of her life and business and to draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners and/or clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital and repay microfinance loans.
