Las Colmenas Group's story

Yanna is the group coordinator of Las Colmenas. Her group is located in the Samana province of the Dominican Republic and is composed of 15 micro-entrepreuners. She lives in a simple home structure with her two children and her long-term partner. Yanna said her most difficult challenges have been to complete her university studies and raise and educate her children.

This is Yanna's tenth loan with Esperanza. She started her business with the first loan she received from Esperanza International almost six years ago. She plans to use this loan to purchase different pairs of shoes, sandals and tennis shoes for men, women and kids. She also plans to invest in miscellaneous products

She always uses her business profits to reinvest in her business but is also saving because her future plans are to improve her family's living conditions, have enough money to provide a good education for her children, and send the children to university. She hopes to be able to save enough money to continue improving her family's lives and to make one of her dreams come true; the dream of having a successful business. She thanks you for your support!
