Tombo, Sierra Leone / Clothing Sales

A loan of $825 helped to buy men's shirts, shoes, jeans, and ladies jeans to expand his business.

Alimamy's story

Alimamy, in his late forties, is from Tombo in the western rural area of Freetown. He is married with two children aged four years and seven years. In 2008, Alimamy established his clothing business because, after he had completed sixth form, his family could not afford to pay his college fees, so he raised the money to start up his own business: before he was a security guard. He works in the business 10 hours per day and seven days per week. He says that his main business challenge is lack of enough capital to run his business.

Alimamy requires a loan in order to buy men's shirts, shoes, jeans, and ladies jeans to expand his business. He hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow him to increase his business and repay his loan. In the future, Alimamy plans to build his own business structure and open another outlet. He thanks you for your support.
