The six members of the ANKADI group are married women, aged 40 on average, and with six children on average. They mostly live in polygamous families in Sanoubougou, one of the most populous quarters of Sikasso, in the third largest administrative region of Mali. They are on their eighth loan with the Soro Yiriwaso microfinance organisation, in order to satisfy their customers' needs. Mme Awa - on the far right - sells beads for a living. She aims to use her loan to buy beads from which she will make necklaces, and sell them in people's homes and in the large central market. She sells to a primarily female customer base, and takes cash sales.
She aims to drive average monthly profits of 40,000 FCFA, a part of which will be used to repay her loan and its interest, and the rest will be put aside as savings.

Les six membres du groupe ANKADI sont des femmes mariées avec une moyenne d’âge de 40 ans, et ont en moyenne 6 enfants. Elles vivent la plupart dans des familles polygamiques à SANOUBOUGOU I un des quartiers populaires de la ville de Sikasso 3ème région administrative du Mali.
Elles sont à leur huitième prêt avec l’institution de micro finance Soro Yiriwaso afin de satisfaire le besoin de leur clientèle.
Mme AWA à l’extrême droite fait le commerce de perles.
Elle compte investir tout son prêt dans les perles qu’elle transforme en colliers et les revend en à la maison et au grand marché à une place fixe à une clientèle composée de femmes au comptant.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice mensuel moyen de 40 000 francs cfa dont une partie est utilisée pour payer le prêt et son interêt et l’autre pour son épargne .

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
