Odicar is married. To supplement her husband's income and earn a living, she runs a retail business selling beauty products and cosmetics in the community. Her husband works for the government as PNP (Philippine National Police).
Odicar has been selling beauty products for more than two years, and she gains more costumers interested to her business. She borrowed a loan from GDMPC, which she joined recently, to purchase additional cosmetics goods to resell. She wants to save an extra amount from her profit for the future needs of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
