Zafar Ullah's story

The person who is shown in the picture is named Zafar Ullah. He is 53 years old and lives in the populated area of Lahore, Pakistan. He has been running a small general store for 25 years, and the business is operating very well. His shop is situated under a populated area and a lot of customers are available here to offer miscellaneous general store items.

Zafar Ullah does not want to refuse any product and disappoint any of his respected customers. He wants to offer all those products which are necessary and consumable in daily routine. In this way, he will successfully win the trust of his customers and increase his income as well. He wants to offer additional items such as bread, jam, a few stationery items, soft drinks and ice cream. But he does not have arefrigerator to keep ice cream and jam fresh.

Therefore, Zafar Ullah requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan, so that he could buy additional item such as bread, jam, stationery items, soft drinks and ice cream. Zafar Ullah is very glad after taking this loan and hopeful that he will successfully fulfill each request for any item and prevent the disappointment of his customers.
