A loan of $1,175 helped to pay for paint, screens, and shirts as well as clothing and other items for her business..

Arlene's story

Arlene is thankful for the financial assistance extended to her as she was able to buy the needed products for her printing business. Her loan is also helpful in the education of her children. Her income from business is a big help in their everyday household expenditures. She and her husband are working hard to provide for their everyday expenses. She also sells chlorine bleach for additional income.

She would like to apply for another 50,000 PHP loan to buy paint, screens, and shirts as well as clothing and other items for her business. Her profits from business will definitely help her to cover her family’s daily needs. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Arlene hopes that her business will continue to grow and expand. She dreams that her whole family will be able to go abroad to unwind. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work every week where she finds strength and inspiration from the word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
