Philip's story

Philip is 25 years old. He comes from a humble background and his parents are small scale farmers. He has always wanted to pursue a course in information technology. He has done a degree in computer engineering. He will use the loan of KES 85,000 to pay for an internship program at Nethope Academy. This will enable him to gain skills and experience which will enable him get a job.

In 5 or 10 years he wants to have his own IT firm where he will be offering consultancy services to clients to enable them achieve their IT goals with ease. The internship will equip him with the necessary technical and soft skills, which will enhance his IT skills.

He is inspired by the need to transform society so that information technology is fully utilized.
