A loan of $550 helped to buy piñata-making supplies.

Carolina Jasmin's story

Carolina, 45, is married with three children living in the town of Choloma, Cortes. She used to own a beauty salon but was unable to keep it going. She’s had a piñata-making business for four years now. She makes a variety of them and sells them in the market or to order. She’s going to use the 11,000 Lempira loan she requested to buy raw materials like wire, paper in assorted colors, glue, etc. to make piñatas. She’s thinking about hiring someone to help her fill pending orders. Her goal is to make the business grow to help her children who are attending university and secondary school.
