María Bernaldina's story

Maria, 45, does not study. She has been married for 28 years and her husband works in agriculture. He sows corn and beans. They have 4 children together, 3 of whom are married and only one son lives at home and works as a builder. They have three grandchildren living with them, who they have looked after since they were very young.

She has worked as a salesperson for 9 years. She decided to embark on this career as her husband's income was not enough to cover the household expenses.

Her business, is a little shop in and a cornflour mill, in order to earn a little more money. She she is not at home, her grandchildren help with sales in the shop and assist with work in the corn mill.

The loan she is requesting is to buy building materials like bricks, cement, wood and poles as part of her home has fallen into disrepair and requires improvement to ensure her family's safety. They need to improve the walls of the house to prevent them causing an accident.

She wants to keep working in her business and improving it to have the opportunity to offer her family better living conditions. She hopes that in the future her family will achieve their goals and she will have the opportunity to see her grandchildren grow up, study and succeed.
