A loan of $1,050 helped to purchase pharmaceutical items.

Lassina's story

Born in 1966, married and the father of 5 children, Lassina is a pharmacist who lives in the city of Koutiala. In order to meet his growing customers' needs, he decided to partner with the microfinance organization Soro Yiriwaso, with whom he is on his third loan. He will use this loan to purchase pharmaceutical products from laboratories for distribution in Bamako. He makes his sales at retail for cash, to a customer base of both men and women. Lassina hopes to earn an average monthly profit of 100,000 francs CFA which he will use to repay the loan, take care of his family's expenses, and invest the rest in his business.
