A loan of $750 helped a member to purchase "Sodabi" alcoholic beverages and "gari" cassava flour.

Tovinonvigbe Group's story

Tovinonvigbe is a group made up of 8 people who live in the same village. The representative of the group, named Antoinette (pictured with her hand raised in the photo) is 48 years old. Antoinette did not attend school. She is married to a farmer named Roger. The couple has three children, some of whom attend school and all of whom are in their care.

Antoinette lives with her husband and their children. Together, the couple is responsible for the household expenses. It is for this reason that Antoinette has been selling the alcoholic beverages locally called "Sodabi" as well as "gari" cassava flour in her region for the last five years. She stocks up in a market in Benin. In order to expand her business, Antoinette and the other members of the Tovinonvigbe group are partnering to request a third loan from ALIDé. Their previous loans have all been fully repaid.
