A loan of $450 helped a member to buy trash to resell.

Thea's Group's story

Thea is 41 years old and lives with her husband and four children in a rural village of the Sangke district. Selling trash is the main source for her family’s income, and sometimes she also works for others for a fee. Engaged in these businesses for ten years, she is able to earn about 60,000 KHR per day to meet the family’s needs.

This is the eighth loan for Thea’s group of two members, and they both completely paid back their past loans with VisionFund. Thea is now leading her group to apply for a loan. As the leader, she will use her portion to buy trash to resell. She hopes this loan will enable her to earn more income from her current business.
