A loan of $550 helped a member to buy fertilizers for her farmland.

Thy's Group's story

Aged 28 years old, Thy is a rural villager from the Thmor Koul district. She earns a living through farming rice and supplementing the family’s income by working as a tailor. The current business earns her about 70,000 KHR per day to meet the family’s needs. Thy’s group consists of two members who are both female. Thy is a second-cycle client with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund, and completely paid back the loan, which has helped her better support her family. Now leading her group to apply for a loan, Thy will use her portion to buy fertilizers for her farmland. She hopes this loan will enable her to increase her crop yields and sell them for a good price to make a living better.
