A loan of $1,425 helped to buy farming supplies for her coffee crop.

Gloria Estrella's story

Gloria is thirty-nine years old. She is married and is the mother of six children. All of the kids help out with the farming, supporting their parents by carrying out various daily activities like cleaning, spreading fertilizer, applying liquid plant feed, etc. She completed a primary level of education thanks to the efforts that her parents made when she was young.

Gloria is a very family-oriented, hardworking, and humble woman. She works to take care of her children and husband, supporting them every day by preparing their meals, etc. The entire family is dedicated to growing coffee because of tradition; Gloria's parents were the ones who taught her this trade. The lands that the family works are their own, and are located a 40-minute walk away. They walk to their lands every day in order to maintain their crops.

Her dreams are to support her children in their studies, and to see them graduate from university. She hopes to give them a better quality and style of life. She also has a goal of buying 1.75 acres of land on which she can later grow all different types of coffee, making her products more attractive in the local market.

Gloria is therefore requesting financing to purchase supplies, like fertilizers, liquid plant feed, urea, etc. to maintain her coffee crops. This will allow her to have an excellent harvest and to then successfully sell her products at the market.
