Ruth's story

Ruth is 28, she lives in the city of Tarapoto with her husband and two children, in their own house. Ruth is a very hard-working and responsible woman. She owns a hardware store located in her own house. She has worked at this enterprise together with her husband for three years thanks to the effort and care that they exerted to bring this hardware store into existence. Like all businesses, at the beginning things were complicated - sales were low, there were not many customers - but now it is evident that she has a stable business.

She began searching to generate her own income in order to provide her children with a good quality of life and a better future. Ruth hopes that her business will continue growing and prospering with the passage of time.

This is her first loan with Kiva, for which she is very grateful, since this will give her the capital to better implement her hardware store. She promises to be punctual with the payment of her instalments and to attend the group's meetings. She will invest the money requested, 1000 nuevos soles, in the purchase of materials like nails, hammers, screwdrivers, etc. in order to stock her hardware store.
