A loan of $600 helped to buy a small cart to sell her fast food.

Armida De Jesús's story

Armida is 49 years old, studied up to the seventh grade in school. From 8 years old she has been doing domestic work. She is the mother of four children, but only two daughters live with her. Armida is a widow.

Armida works as a domestic employee taking care of the children in a neighboring house. She also has a apparatus to charge car batteries. She has been working as a domestic for 4 years, and the job taking care of the children is 5 minutes from her house. At her home where she lives she has the apparatus to charge batteries and her daughters help with this when they come home from school.

She seeks a loan to buy a cart to sell her fast food. She lives in an area where there are a lot of people and therefore she wants to open this business in her house. The loan will improve her income at home an in this way she will obtain income to support her daughters.

Her goal is to help her daughters become successful, make sure they do not lack food at home and provide them a university-level education.
