Lucia's story

Lucia lives in the community of Huayllabamba in Huancarani district, Paucartambo province, Cusco department, Peru. Her principal economic activity is the elaboration of artisan goods, such as, for example, textiles made of alpaca and sheep's wool. She makes sweaters, scarves, blankets, gloves, hose, skirts, and other items.

On this occasion, Lucia is requesting a loan to purchase materials for her work such as, for example, wool. She appreciates and values the loan and is committed to comply with her monthly payments with much responsibility.

Lucia belongs to the “Panty Tikas de Huayllabamba” Communal Bank and their reunions occur each 30 days in a member's house.
