A loan of $450 helped a member to buy chicken feed for nourishing her chickens.

Kimchey's Group's story

Kimchey is aged 35 years old and married. She is a mother of four children, three of whom are in school while another one is too young for school. To make a living, she and her husband have been raising chickens and working for others for a fee for two years. The current business earns her about 18,000 KHR per day to meet the family’s needs.

Kimchey’s group consists of two members who live in the same village in Sangke district of Battambang province. She is a second-cycle client with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Now leading her group to apply for a loan, Kimchey will use her portion to buy chicken feed. She hopes to fatten her chickens so as to make a living better.
