Lucila's story

Sixty-four-year-old Lucila is married and a mother to two daughters. At a very young age she started a business in Bogotá - a grocery store, with which she could bring home an income and give her children an education. However, later in life, Lucila and her family moved city in the search of new opportunities. There Lucila opened a new shop and, with effort, determination and dedication, she has managed to achieve her objectives and improve all the family's quality of life. Lucila is currently applying for a loan to buy a fridge, electronic scales, and to buy stock in bulk (pastries, biscuits, fizzy drinks, grains, pastas, and sweets). With this she can strengthen her business and offer very good service to her customers, as well as ofering them a greater variety of products to satisfy all their tastes and needs. This will help to increase sales and income for the family. In addition Lucila will be able to progress as she works towards her dream of having a big, profitable, and sustainable fodd distribution centre. This will allow Lucila to enjoy better well-being alongside her family.
