A loan of $1,175 helped to buy 10 sheep and livestock feed in order to start a new animal husbandry business.

Mu'tabar's story

Mu'tabar is a 34 year-old resident of the J. Rumy district. She works as a teacher at a local school. She is married and has children. Currently, she wants to start a family business in animal husbandry. She thinks that sheep are low-maintenance animals and their care would not require a lot of effort. Besides, this is a profitable business. Mu'tabar will combine the new business with her primary job. Other family members will watch after the sheep in her absence. To start the business, Mu'tabar has a barn for keeping sheep and also some savings. She is requesting this loan to buy ten sheep and livestock feed. Mu'tabar plans to raise sheep for a month and then sell them at a market with a good markup.
