A loan of $300 helped a member to purchase materials required to build a rabbit rearing unit and rabbits.

Mizuka Youth Group's story

Mizuka Youth Group is composed of young people who are passionate about football. Upon winning numerous local trophies, the youth decided to embark on economic activities that will make them self-sufficient. As a result they started growing and selling vegetables, distributing water, and showing movie screenings. Antony, on the far left, has a passion for football and is married with one child. His desire is to see football players have decent lives after their professional career is over, and he believes that is possible through entrepreneurship.

Last year, the group successfully completed a Junior Achievement entrepreneurship program where the program built their capability to grow and expand their businesses. Upon graduation the group carried out market research and observed the demand for rabbit meat within their community. Antony and his fellow group members hope to take a loan to start a rabbit rearing business which will supplement the group's vegetable and water business and will increase their realized income.
