Ramin's story

Ramin is a 29-year-old married man. He lives with his parents, wife, brother, sister-in-law, and two children in a small village of Khulo district. His wife works as a baker and earns 150 GEL per month. Ramin is involved in agricultural activities. In particular, he has two cows and sells cheese products. In addition, Ramin cultivates family-owned land and grows maize and potatoes to sell.

Ramin decided to start a honey business and requested a loan. The Start Up program, which is a joint initiative with Kiva and Credo, enables him to get a loan of 1500 GEL to purchase beehives with bee colonies. Ramin will start producing honey and sell it at a good price to increase the income of his family. With this increased income, Ramin will be able to improve his family's living conditions.
