Hosamoh's story

Hosamoh was born in 1971. She is divorced and has a son who is in the eighth grade. She started her business in 1998 by selling a small quantity of confectionary products in a small store that she rented. Now Hosamoh trades in a large assortment of candies, confectionary products, and dried fruits at the “Sakhobat” market in Dushanbe city. Her stock includes different candies from Russia and Turkey, gingerbread, dried apricots, raisins, walnuts, almonds, and pistachios, etc.. She buys goods from wholesalers such as “Safar-Center” in Dushanbe city as well as wholesale dealers from Khujand city. In the future, she wishes to buy a store. Having heard about Kiva’s lending programs, she decided to participate and take out a loan in the amount of 4100 somoni to expand her assortment of products.
