A loan of $1,600 helped purchase a refrigerator and assorted wholesale items (pastries, cookies, sweets, soft drinks, canned goods, and coffee).

Ángela María's story

Ángela, who is 45 years old, is a married women and mother of two children. She currently manages her own business, a cafe that she started five years ago in order to generate income and help her husband with the household expenses. She was unemployed at that time and her husband's income was not enough. She works alone each day of the week from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm, offering soft drinks, fried foods, pastries, sweets, coffee, and other items to her customers. In this way she is able to earn the necessary income to support and provide for her family. The loan she is requesting will be used to purchase a refrigerator and an assortment of wholesale goods (pastries, cookies, sweets, soft drinks, canned goods, and coffee) so she is able to stock a greater variety of products for her customers and increase her sales. As a result, she will be able to provide a better quality of life for her family, and she will be one step closer to her completing her goal of increasing and establishing the profitability of her business, which in turn will allow her to one day open a second location. This is how Ángela plans to grow and enjoy the better well-being and quality of life alongside her family.
