A loan of $300 helped to buy stock of rice, sugar and flour.

Fazeelat's story

Fazeelat is a 35-year-old married woman. She has been successfully running a small general store in her community for many years. She offers various goods for daily use. She has good communication skills and counts on a good client list. Her husband is a driver by profession and earns insufficient income to support his family alone. She is the mother of five children and is motivated to provide for her family.

As she wants to grow her business, she requested a loan of 30,000 PKR (Pakistani rupees) to buy stock of rice, sugar and flour from the market at lower rates. She then would be able to meet the increasing demand consistently. She is in her second loan cycle and has shown excellent repayment behavior. She wishes to utilize part of her revenues to deal with personal expenses and to increase her business capital.
