Despiner is married and has four children, two of whom attend school. She also takes care of an additional family member (her young brother). She has a business of selling used clothes and has been in this business for two years. She has applied for a loan of 1,000,000 UGX from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bales of used clothes. She generates additional income from selling used shoes. She works in a shop and sells on both wholesale and retail basis seven days out of every week. Her major business challenges include transportation and seasonality. She is aspiring to become an importer of used clothes and also to build her own house. She resides in the family house, which has access to electricity but not to piped water. Her monthly expenses includes school fees and feeding the family.
