A loan of $500 helped a member to pay the weeding fee for her cassava.

Sanghem's Group's story

Sanghem, a 61-year-old local cassava farmer residing in Memot district of Kampong Cham province, is married and has nine children. She has been involved in her current business for 14 years. This will be the fifth loan for Sanghem’s group, which consists of two female borrowers seeking a loan of 1,000,000 KHR each from VisionFund, Kiva’s partner. Her past loans have enabled Sanghem to support her business, and she will spend her new loan portion to pay the weeding fee for her cassava. She hopes to gain a good yield from her cassava and make more income.
