A loan of $1,450 helped to buy seeds and organic fertilizer for his crops.

Prospero's story

Prospero is 71 years old, widowed, and lives in his own home. He has four grown children. Prospero works growing plantains, papaya, pineapples and other crops. He also repairs electric motors, motorcycles, appliances and other devices. Prospero has been working as an in-home repairman for more than 20 years, traveling to his customers whenever and wherever they call on him. Prospero is known for being very good at what he does, and he says that people always call him to fix their broken appliances. Prospero says that he likes his jobs because he makes money to cover his expenses and he sets his own schedule.

This is Prospero’s first Kiva loan. He says that it will allow him to carry out his plans, and he promises to make his payments on time. Prospero will use this loan for 4,000 PEN to buy seeds and organic fertilizer for his crops.
