A loan of $1,225 helped to buy fertilizers and pay for labor to plant coffee.

Edras Omar's story

Edras is 20 years old, single, and lives with his parents in the municipality of Gracias in the department of Lempira. Seven years ago, he started working in agriculture by helping his parents. Today, he has his own crop of coffee. Edras’s crop is on the mountain, and he sells the coffee he produces in the local market.

This is Edras’s second loan with the field partner. He will use the 25,000 HNL to buy fertilizers and pay for labor to plant two manzanas [Central American unit of land measurement] of coffee to improve his income. Edras says that his goal is to help his mother and continue expanding his business.
