A loan of $500 helped to purchase more feed and stock.

Chipo F's story

Chipo is 28 years-old, and married with one child. She is currently a teacher at Gumbonzvanda High School in Wedza District, Zimbabwe.

Chipo desires to supplement her income and help provide for her child. She raises chickens and sells them to fellow teachers and community members. She started the business in 2011 when she realised that poultry production is a lucrative business opportunity. She loves her business so much that she wants to expand it and supply boarding schools in her community with fresh chickens.

She inspires young women in her community as both a community health trainer and an entrepreneur. She intends to use the loan to purchase baby chicks and chick feed. She hopes to improve her current living standards and enrol her child in a good school.
