Nyamvula is a widowed woman living with her eleven children. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
She has operated a charcoal selling business. She sells from home to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a major challenge of the high cost of transportation. Nyamvula dreams of expanding her business to be a wholesale supplier of charcoal in the village.
With the Kshs 30,000, she wants to purchase bundles of charcoal to sell. She decided to join to Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
