Immaculate is a single mother of five children; none of her children goes to school. She takes care of additional family members (grand children). She has a business of tailoring, and has been in this business for 30 years. She has applied for a loan of 2,000,000 UGX (Uganda Shillings) from MCDT-SACCO to buy more rolls of clothing materials, a new sewing machine, and threads.
She generates additional income through renting rooms and raring chicken. She works at her home seven days out of every week, and sells to all categories of people, but on retail basis.
Her major business challenges include transportation and defaulters. She is aspiring to own a tailoring school and build more rental rooms. She resides in the family house, and the family has access to electricity and piped water.
Her monthly expenses include school fees for the grand children and food for the family.
