A loan of $500 helped to purchase more inputs for dressmaking.


Marble's story

Marble is a 23-year-old single young woman. She currently lives in the Mashonaland Central District of Zimbabwe where she runs a dressmaking business. She makes and sells a variety of products such as uniforms, duvet covers, clothes, toilet sets and drapery in Chifombo. She studied fashion and fabrics at school and how she could turn her knowledge and skills into a business after she finished school. She is very passionate about the business and determined to expand it.

With the Kiva loan, Marble will expand her business and open her own clothing shop. She intends to use the loan to purchase materials such as fabric, sewing needles for her machine, a mannequin and thread. She is passionate about creating employment in her rural community. By improving her business she will be able to provide for her family and improve their living standard.
