A loan of $1,200 helped to buy groceries.

Julius's story

Julius is a married man aged thirty-three years and he has two children aged six years and eight months. He owns and operates a grocery which contributes more than 85% of the money he uses to cater for the needs of his family. He works six days in a week and spends an average of 10 hours per day working.

Julius started the grocery business in the year 2001 and has seen it grow to date. The grocery is located in Kyamamri, a local cell in Bitooma sub-county, Bushenyi District and he hopes to use the loan funds to buy more grocery items which he intends to sell at a profit. In addition to the grocery in Kyamamari, he also has a butchery which he operates when he is off the grocery. His major clients are the people around him and he has high hopes of becoming financially stable since his challenge of lack of capital will be no more if he is given the loan. He describes himself as a hard-working man who hopes to achieve his goal in life.
