A loan of $675 helped a member to purchase an embroidery machine and new varieties of embroidery materials.


Parveen's Group's story

Parveen, age 50, is the mother of seven children. She has a large family. She belongs to a poor family. Her husband owns an embroidery shop in the market which is the only source of income for the family. He needs to purchase new varieties of embroidery material for his work. However, due to lack of money he finds it difficult. This will help him to offer more variety to his customers and to continue his work efficiently and professionally.

His wife, Parveen, as a member of a two-person lending group, has requested a loan from Kiva partner BRAC Pakistan with the goal of helping her husband. He will purchase an embroidery machine and new varieties of embroidery materials. Parveen is feeling happy that she will be able to help her husband with the loan. She is thankful to Kiva lenders and to BRAC Pakistan.
