A loan of $500 helped to buy piglets and fatten them up.

Dolores's story

Dolores is 41 years old, married, and has four children. Only three go to school. He has only a 7th grade education. His wife is a housewife and also works at an eatery. Four people live with him at home. For the past 5 years Dolores has been working at raising and selling pigs, and he learned about it thanks to a farmer-friend. When the pigs are ready he goes with one of his children to sell them in the neighboring communities. He has no schedule for this as it can take three hours to sell them or all day.

At home he spends a lot of time taking care of his animals which are his main source of income. The loan will be used to buy piglets, fatten them up and then sell them at a better price. Dolores' goal is to have a good pig farm and to generate more income for his family.
