A loan of $3,275 helped a member to purchase wool.

Manantial Azul Group's story

The A.C. "Manantial Azul (Blue Spring)" will begin its first term of Pro Mujer (Pro Woman) as a part of the Focal Point in Collpani. It is composed of eight members and is headed by a board and Justina is the President. The businesses that the community association members carried forward are varied among them which include: weaving blankets, sewing garments, and coats along with the sale of shoe insoles and potatoes.

The loan they will take out will benefit small microenterprises where Justina is a member. She points out that two years ago, she became a member of Pro Mujer through the invitation of a friend who was also a member of the institution.

Currently, she has a business workshop in blanket weaving. She learned this type of work at a technical institute. Beforehand, with a little amount of capital, she bought a sewing machine and with the Pro Mujer loan, she expanded her business.

The loan that she will take out will increase capital by purchasing wool from other stores in the city of El Alto. After production, she will sell it in her sales area. This type of job will allow her to generate income so that she can maintain her home. She is married and has four kids.

When she was asked what she liked about Pro Mujer, she said that she liked the health and loan training.

In this group: Justina, Yola, Roxana , Juan Carlos , Rosmery , Valentina Matilde, Ruth, Veronica
