A loan of $500 helped to buy chicken, basic grains, lunchmeat, dairy products and soda to sell.

Antonia's story

Antonia, 39, is a single mother, has two children and lives in the municipality of Tela, Atlántida. She has had her own grocery store for six years where she sells rice, beans, soda, churros, toiletries, sugar, dairy products, lunchmeat, condiments, etc. This business is her source of income and in order to maintain it she has decided to apply for a loan for 10,000 Lempiras.

She is going to invest it in the purchase of more products like chicken, basic grains, lunchmeat, dairy products and soda. In this manner she will be able to have variety in her business. Her plan is to continue helping her daughter, including giving her a complete education, and to be able to grow with the business.
