A loan of $275 helped to buy milk, sugar, and fruit wholesale.

Emilsen De Jesús's story

Emilsen, 54, wants to start her own business selling ice cream that she makes in her home. The idea came up as a way to generate income to pay for the household necessities and feel useful, because she has been unable to work for a business since she was diagnosed with a joint ailment.

Emilsen's an enterprising and active woman who very much wants to get ahead. She's motivated to request a loan to buy supplies wholesale (milk, sugar, and fruit) with which to set up her business and begin to earn an income.

Emilsen dreams that her business will be profitable and sustainable in time and that she'll expand it little by little and stock it with new products. She knows, however, that she has to work hard and with tenacity and dedication so she can realize her goal and be able to enjoy a better quality of life and well-being.
