Astghik's story

Astghik is an experienced agronomist from Kamo village of Shirak region. She lives with her husband, son, and mother-in-law. Astghik's husband and son work in the private sector. Their salaries, however, are not enough to meet the needs of the family. To help them earn a living for the family, Astghik is engaged in cattle breeding and cultivation of potato and grass.

Farming is an important source of family income. Astghik's husband and son help her greatly in everyday farming activities.
