A loan of $800 helped to purchase bedclothes and women's clothing.

Nancy's story

Nancy is 63-years-old and lives in the south of the city. She is separated from her husband and must generate sufficient income for her household. In 1983, she decided to pursue selling merchandise to support the well-being of her five children now between the ages of 28 and 39 years. With this business, she has been able to move forward with her immediate family selling sheets, comforters, and clothing to her clients’ orders, offering each a payment plan tailored to their needs. 100% of her sales are made on credit in two weeks cycles working from 8 am to 4 pm. She is currently applying for a Kiva loan, her first through the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to buy women's clothing and bedclothes. With this investment, she projects that her business will expand its selection and she can effectively implement her customers’ orders.
