A loan of $2,775 helped to buy steers.

Ainura's story

Ainura is 30 years old and married. She and her husband are raising three children. She has a secondary education and is involved in animal husbandry and crop farming, an activity which provides her family with its main source of income. She started in this business eight years ago with the purchase of livestock for 10,000 som (KGS).

Thanks to Ainura's hard work, her farming business now comprises seven dairy cows, 51 sheep, as well as 2.15 hectares (5.3 acres) of land on which she grows beans, clover and corn every year. She makes a monthly income of 16,000 som (KGS).

In order to further develop her farming business, Ainura has turned to the microfinance bank "Bai Tushum & Partners" and requested a loan of 135,000 som (KGS). She will use this loan to buy some steers in order to increase her cattle headcount.

Ainura plans to invest the earnings from this loan into further increasing her livestock headcount. She is also planning to save enough money to continue to finance her children's education.
