Toktokan's story

Toktokan is a 42-year-old widow. After the death of her husband, she is raising five children on her own, and also running their farm. Toktokan has a high school education. As a main source of income for her family, Toktokan занимается садоводством и полеводством, стартовав 20 лет назад, 1,000 сом KGS. Thanks to her hard work, Toktokan today has on her farm: 4 dairy cows. Monthly income consists of 10,000 som (KGS).

In order to further develop her farm, Toktokan turned to the microfinance bank Bai-Tushum and Partners for a loan of 20,000 som (KGS) to buy seeds for apricots, apples, peaches, and plums to be grown into seedlings. Some of them will be sold as seedlings; and the rest will be kept so that, when they are bearing fruit, the fruit will be sold.

Toktokan plans to invest income from the loan in further increasing the count of domestic animals.
