Najuka's story

Najuka is a 35-year-old married woman with four children who lives in Parsha tole in Kalaiya Municipality of Bara district Nepal. She was married at the age of twenty seven and started the sewing occupation in her own home in the initial years. As demand for her work started peaking, she set up her tailoring shop with the assistance of credit from Nirdhan Utthan Bank Ltd. Now she has an additional four sewing machines in her tailoring shop.

Najuka wants to set up another tailoring shop in her village so she has requested NPR 20,000 to buy a sewing machine and set up the tailoring shop.

Najuka has earned local community respect. She wants to inspire fellow women to be entrepreneurs in her village and hopes to give good education to her children.
