A loan of $3,225 helped to buy improved vegetables seeds to grow products more quickly and with less watering required.

Victoria's story

Victoria is married and has three children, all of whom are in high school. The family lives in their privately owned, six-room house. The walls are made of brick, and the ground is made of earth. The house is in Palomar, in the La Paz department.

Victoria makes a living selling vegetables and makes a little through cattle raising. With the little she makes from her crops and from the sales in her shop, she must cover the costs of food, schooling, and paying the bills. Victoria's husband does not help with costs as he works in the city.

Victoria needs this loan to buy improved seeds for vegetables. These seeds will help her save time as they do not need watering often and they grow more quickly. The ground will not deteriorate as quickly with these seeds and they are good for the environment.

Victoria's dream is to increase her income in order to provide her children with a better quality of life. She wants to increase her income so as to spend more time raising cattle.

This is the second time that Victoria has applied for a loan from IMPRO and Kiva.
