Gela is a 29-year-old married man. He lives with his wife, his parents and an infant son in a small village of the Terjola district. His parents are provided with a retirement pension. The family is involved in agricultural activities. In particular, they have a cow and a plot of agricultural land where maize is grown. They produce cheese products and sell it along with the harvested maize locally.

Gela decided to build a greenhouse and requested a loan. The Start Up loan program, which is a joint initiative with Kiva and Credo enables him to get a loan of 2,000 GEL for purchasing building materials to build a greenhouse. When the greenhouse is built he will sow cucumbers and tomatoes there to sell. This will increase the income of their family. With increased income he will expand the business in the future and improve the living conditions for his family.
