Ha's story

Ha was born in 1994. She lives in Bac Ninh province, Vietnam. Her major is Business English at Hanoi University of Business and Technology (http://hubt.edu.vn/vietnam/). Her course lasts three years and she will graduate in 2016. Ha’s family has five members and she is her parents’ oldest daughter. She is the first person in her family to graduate from high school and continue to higher education. Her mother is a tailor to earn a living. Her father is a commune officer. Her family’s income is about 7,000,000 VND (Viet Nam Dong) per month.

Ha wants to have a stable job so that she can help her parents raise her younger siblings. That’s why she will try her best to complete this university course. She wants to borrow 18,300,000 VND to pay for her educational fees. Besides lacking educational fees, she has other difficulties, such as lack of money to buy a computer to support her studying. The man who is sitting next to her in this picture is her father. After graduating, she hopes she can find a high-paid job to provide for her family and improve her family’s living standard.

Because of this, she wants to tell people that she appreciates the help of people all around the world who have contributed to this kind of program. This has supported the education of Ha individually and of the Vietnamese youth in general.
